Pipe Organ Service Technician – Updated May 2017

  • Shop generalist works with Technician supervisor’s instructions and uses hand and/or power tools. Performs a variety of light industrial tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub assemblies to Company and industry standards.
  • Should be comfortable with safe operation of shop hand and power tools. Knowledge of and experience with standard woodworking machine shop equipment i.e. drill press, band & table saws, planer etc., required.
  • Must have ability to work carefully in tight spaces involving stooping, crouching and reaching; ability to climb tall ladders/scaffolding and not afraid of heights and able to do heavy lifting.
  • Need to drive Company van safely to customer and vendor sites. Must have clean driving record.
  • General Requirements: High School or GED; Minimum work experience 1 year; strong mechanical ability & electrical skills; quality and safe operation of equipment, ability to problem solve, organizational skills and performance of work. Ability to stay focused and work with little supervision required. On time and professional presentation. Strong sense of urgency and high energy levels. Attention to detail and ability to follow up and meet deadlines. Able to work flexible and overtime hours. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional work team environment to achieve daily goals at customer and workshop sites.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Successful candidates must have mental fortitude, physical strength, and an attitude of service. Must be able to physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above. May be required to stand for long periods of time and be capable of bending, stretching, and pulling. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. Basic computer and web skills as outlined below are preferable.
  • Relocation package available for out-of-state and experienced applicants.
  • Compensation for candidates with experience in the pipe organ industry is negotiable.
